Kat Anna Fiddle
The highly acclaimed story-telling duo of Kaitrin McMullan and Anna Bowen Story telling using fiddle, mandolin, guitar, puppets, percussion and pure magic.
Kaitrin and Anna have combined their considerable talents to create several delightful shows featuring stories, songs, puppets and poems. In 2005 they toured a “Healthy Eating” programme for the New Zealand National Heart Foundation, and have written and performed several shows for the Otago Early Settlers Museum for both adults and children. They present a highly polished performance, sparkling with energy and a relaxed good-natured humour. Here's what people are saying:-
“Excellent performance, child-centred, attention-grabbing, natural NZ props and use of te reo, great puppets and costumes, reinforces what we do already in terms of nutrition, exercise (& te reo), great for children to see other instruments played e.g. mandolin” (Early Childhood Teacher, Storypie Show, 2005)
“Appealed to all ages- from pre-schoolers through to Grandparents – I liked your variety : songs, poems, stories (read and told) games, making things, photos….all packed into 50 minutes, well done! Your enthusiasm is contagious” (Grandmother at Once Upon a Child show, 2006)
“It was so excellently done – setting, accent, stories, mood, music and ending in a song… absolutely brilliant, well done!” (Across the Waves show for adults, 2005)
